Acrylic Cake Shape Guides Set - Scallop

Scallop like it hot... The new and IMPROVED Scallop Cake Shape Set Guide Sets are now even easier to use and are sized to suit the cake your decorating. These guides are sized from narrowest point to narrowest point, we do recommend using a Cake Trim Ring to cut your cake down to give it some extra buttercream/ganache space. You can also use your guide to cut your cake or cookie for naked or stacked designs.

For the harder to glad wrap shapes, like the scallop, there are a few other ways to release your template from your buttercream or ganache:

1. Lightly heat your top acrylic guide for a few minutes (a few seconds for chocolate) until the top is very slightly melted, then slide the guide right off. 
2. Gently trace around your guide onto baking paper, and cut. Attach the baking paper to your guide with your ganache or buttercream and ice as normal. The baking paper should easily peel off your set frosting. 

We recommend chilling your cake before removing the guides otherwise your buttercream may come off with the board.

NOTE: The boards are shipped with the paper still on the acrylic to ensure that they are not damaged in transit. Remove the paper backing from the reflective side of the board prior to using.
