Join our Buttercream Master, Emily, as she teaches you how to create a gorgeous buttercream cake with the Lambeth/retro piping trend that doesn't look to be slowing down any time soon. This course has been designed to give you the fundamentals of buttercream colouring and piping, cake stacking and crumb coating, along with a run down of the tools you will need and what they do. 

  

During this workshop you will learn the following skills:

    • Colouring buttercream techniques, including various types of colours and when best to use them
    • Learn about blooming buttercream techniques to create, dark and bold colours
    • How to create complimentary colour schemes using 3 different colours
    • Learn the differences in piping tips and to combine different piping techniques for a retro look

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR CLASS:

ESSENTIAL TOOLS:

A 6" tall cake, pre-made buttercream or Cake Cream, 3 x gel or oil colours, piping bags, Petal Piping Tip No. 104, Open Star Piping Tips No. 1M and No. 32 and Round Piping Tip No. 3 (these can be added to your cart from the Online Class portal or add the class kit to your order above!)

 

NON-ESSENTIAL TOOLS:

6" angled/cranked spatula, 10" round cake board, Maraschino Cherries, turntable, cake scraper (these can be added to your cart from the Online Class portal)

  

THINGS YOU NEED FROM HOME:

3 x bowls, a stand mixer, silicone spatula's or spoons
