Full cutter depth can be used, however some of the cutters that have centre pieces like the letter A have a metal support that will leave a mark in anything over 10mm thick.

Clean with a damp cloth and let air dry. If washed, ensure they are dried relatively quickly. This can be done on a dry tea towel or in a warm oven. If left in a pool of water, they will rust.
