The Loyal Cake Leveller / Slicer cleanly levels and tortes cakes up to 10" wide and adjusts up to 2" high. The cake leveller has an easy to adjust wire to provide the cuts at the height you want, whilst reducing crumbs. We do recommend to use a knife to start the cutting the crust of the cake first, then the wire will be able to cut the rest of the cake perfectly!
The Loyal Cake Leveller comes with a spare cutting wire.
HOW TO USE:
- Remove the second wire and keep it in a safe place in case the first one breaks. You do this by removing the rubber stops, then pushing the arms together a little so the wires become slack and then you can remove the wire. Pop the rubber stops back on to protect your work surface. Use this method to adjust the wire up and down the arms if you need to change the height too.
- Count how many nodules up the arms your wire is so it's even on both sides.
- Make sure your cake is fully defrosted and at room temperature.
- Ensure the surface your cake is on is level.
- Use a knife to make the first cut in the crust, as the wire isn't usually strong enough to penetrate this accurately and you could end up with a wonky layer.
- Make sure you have the leveller 90 degrees to the cake, and try not to let it tip as you move through the cake.
