Keep warm and cosy with this autumnal themed buttercream class where students will decorate a 6" cake with buttercream using a variety of piping tips and techniques in their choice of buttercream colour.
Students will learn through demonstration and instruction and be guided through each decorative design at a comfortable pace and be given class notes enabling them to replicate the techniques learnt in class.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Stack and fill cake with buttercream and crumb coat
Preparing, filling, and holding a piping bag (including the prevention of air-bubbles)
Students will choose their colour scheme and colour pre-made buttercream
Tips and tricks on how to achieve white buttercream
The use of a turntable and other tools to assist decorating
Preparing the cake for buttercream
Creating basic chocolate decorations using pre-made chocolate drip and silicone moulds
Alternating added-on decoration and piping to a cake in a cohesive manner
The application of glitter and sprinkles
